Well I decided to take the step today and load Windows 7. Well It has been a fiasco. I guess my Intel wlan 2915 card is not supported by 7. My version of Norton can't be loaded, and my thumbdrive that would work on Vista for speed boost wont work on 7.

You must be trying it on the 1.4 CF-29HTM50BM ? I first tried it on my 1.4 but to many problems so I put it on my 1.6 MK5. It was ok but just did not have the speed and media player would not play a movie (or VLC) without freezing up so I went back to XP.

To get the Intel 2915ABG to work, go to the Intel site and download the last Vista drivers for the 2915ABG.

Extract the folder in the Zip file to a temp folder on the desktop.

Go the Device Manager, right click the network device and choose Update Driver Software.

Then choose Browse my computer for driver software.

In the search location, enter the path to the folder you extracted from the Intel Zip file. Be sure to check the Include subfolders checkbox.

Click Next and it will find the and install the driver.

I recently installed Windows 7 on a CF-29HTM50BM. It was a clean install from a USB drive and presented few problems. The video drivers were the most difficult part - I ended up importing them using Drivermax 4.5 (the most recent version 5.5 does not work for this BTW) and opening the .exe file with 7zip.

Use the Panasonic XP Hotkey driver/utility.
