Well I have a cf-29 and have finally got everything to work good with windows 7. Now the only problem is I would like to use the windows 7 enhanced touch features. Our touchscreen emulates a mouse and as far as I can tell there's no way to make this work with windows 7. Has anyone been able to get this to work?

    Thanks

Yes I've read it, and I have got the touchscreen driver to install just fine. Windows 7 just doesn't think its a touch screen since its driver does mouse emulation.

If you go to control panel , system. Does it show Pen and Touch: Pen Input Available ??

Also in Control Panel... Tablet PC Settings you will see Configure your pen and touch displays, have you done the "setup" yet or calibrate it??

I have the Pen and Touch :pen Input Available and Tablet PC Settings Available in Control Panel.

But when I go to any of the setip screens, I get the first cross hair in the upper left corner tapping on this does nothing.

There is one place where it just says to tap on the screen if the screen IS a touch screen, but that doesn't do anything either.

Note I have a CF-30 MK1. It came with a stylus, but I got it with a bad HD so I installed clean Windows 7 (Home Premium). After BIOS update the sound magically started working and the touch screen options showed up.

I installed the drivers per Rick's detailed Information here:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic/476149-how-load-windows-7-cf-30-mk1-model.html

The hotkeys now work fine (and I do get the blue thingy on the screen), but I can't get the touch screen to work at all even though the system recognizes it (shows up in the Device Manager as Human Input device).

    Any ideas?

Do you know for sure if the touch was working before you got it ? Check out the pictures of my CF-30 MK1, does it look the same as yours

Mine says Single Touch Input available. But the unit came with the pen attached? Note the touch part doesn't work either.

Tapping the screen most times does not work.
Press on the screen with your stylus and hold until the cross moves, then continue.

I had to do it a few times. The unknown devices I told it to search the utili folder for it. It's possible to load the touch driver on the wrong mouse. After that the mouse menu and L/R are in the tray on the bottom of the task bar. The 1st X may take some time just hold it there and don't try to press as hard as you can to make it work faster.

    @ patm300e

Its possible that the touch panel is faulty
When I installed W7 without any panasonic drivers the touchscreen worked
The calibration was out by 3/8" ,but W7 had generic drivers that worked
