    Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum and just bought a CF-28 MkII. I've been trying to search the forums as best as possible but haven't quite found what I'm looking for. I'm trying to add a 256Mb stick of ram, bought a stick of PC-133 from Edgetech but it won't recognize it. I've read that Kingston brand is the way to go? PC-133, PC-144? I tried the Crucial scan tool but it said they don't have any upgrades available for this machine.

I've also tried to update the bios but am having a heck of a time of it. I only have the DVD/CD-RW drive and am having troubles making a boot disk that will work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Jeff

You can get a floppy for pretty cheap on eBay. That was the first one I found, so you might be able to find them cheaper.

I'm not sure that you can do a BIOS update with a CD on the toughbook.

The other thread about CF-28 memory should help you out a bit with the memory issue.

$16 sounds a bit steep, but they do look minty fresh. There was a guy selling 10 drives for $10 a while back..
