    me again! i'm gonna quickly get a reputation as a complete idiot but i don't mind being made fun of anymore!

    when i type in cf-27 into google i get lots of pictures of my tougbook however they all have these arials coming out of them... what the hell are these and how much do they cost? i also want a drive port cover and a rear port cover, can i get these anywhere?

    i just want my toughbook to look it's best!

    You really need to spend some time reading a few of the posts around here... That is the WWAN or LAN antenna... For the price of the antenna... You could probably just buy another CF-27....

    If you look on the driver package I believe I sent you, you will see some service manual supplements. One of them, Supplement 19, is for the aerial with instructions.

    you should be proud of me today anyway mate, i spent nearly 50 quid on my toughbook!

    The hard drive you bought should speed it up. If you are looking to do something on the cheap I would suggest an SMA bulkhead connection for an external antenna. That way you could attach a stubby wifi or a cantenna. Lots of options!
