    hi bro.

as I know, we have to use DVD RW with 12.5mm thick.

however, I see that the 9.5mm DVD RW it has the same IDE port.

I wonder whether I can use the DVD-RW with size of 9.5mm (SLIM DRIVE) for my DVD drive in my CF-29..

    thanks for your advice.

Yes you can. The PATA JAE50 connector is the same for both sized drives, at the same position fom it's base. So a 9.5mm PATA optical drive works in 12.7mm PATA optical drive cavity.

    Hi bros.

Because I have a demand of Lightscribe function. I wonder, can I buy a HP or Toshiba DVD RW with Lightscribe function to put into my CF-29?

I look at some HP drives and see the rear connector looks quite similar with a Panasonic one. However, I am not sure about this.

So, if you experienced this, please share with me. Thank you very much.

    thank you so much bro.

The website sold out all items.

I just ordered one UJ-851 on Ebay with $22.4.

I hope to receive it in working order as the seller stated.

I really don't want to get anything non-working again. Toughbook is so tough with me until now :D
