Shut down the unit and restart, everything works fine. Work 5 to 30 min and it stops working all together until it is shut down and restarted again. I tried downloading the driver direct from Panasonic and installing but no difference. Unit was set up with recovery disc from Panasonic originally. Any ideas?

What is the full model number?

    Have you installed any programs?

    What version of Windows?

Restore it with the recovery disk and Do NOT install anything else. Test the touchscreen and see if it still gives you trouble.

You could also install Linux to test it. This will tell us if it is a hardware or software problem.

    1. Loose plug on motherboard.
    2. FPC in lid moving around where it plugs into TSPCB. Needs to be severely taped down.
    3. Broken wire where it wraps around the lid swivel.

Reads like a heat issue so I'm betting on #1. #3 if you use it in tablet mode a lot.
