cf 29 help needed

hi all:hi2:
have bought a cf29
CF-29ETSGZKE dont know how to find spec's on it ,ie what its got in it ,touchscreen? mk? etc any body help me out on this?
have put number in google but no luck , & wiki comes up ,Your search - CF-29ETSGZKE site:en.wikipedia.org - did not match any documents.
also has a problem
can get into bios no problem there
but when i turn the device turns on and displays the following message XE-E61: Media test failure, check cablePXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM
there is no h/drive fitted at moment just cage
also want to max memory out on it so will a 2 gig sim 2700 work in it?

ps forgot to ask sometime ago bought a cf29 lid & with touch screen complete, if what i bought (above) is not touch screen will the one i bought be an easy fit ,and will it work?

 

Ummm 256 on board ram? You can try 2 but I don't think it will work.

Yours is a touchscreen model. The T in the model number. Is this model number from bios or the label. The number from bios is the correct one.

Look at the boot order. See the PXE there? This is normal with no hard drive.

The lids are interchangeable.

My sources don't show that S in the model # nor the E. (assume England)??

Now I know it will take max 1024 ram only at a max.

FYI steven there are a couple of Marks that will take 2 Gb. These are the Mark 4 and 5 CF-29. NON-TOUCH. They have 256 on board. Your touchscreen (spare) will fit them and convert them to TS. Annnnd some are running W7 on them using SD as a ready-boost. Find out about it with the search tool below. Azrial dreamed this all up. Thanks to Az.

cheers shawn, thought as much when it arived had a volvo ewd 2011b dvd for wireing in the cd drive
yes touchscreen as well, up and running now ,found a 250 gig h/drive so put that in, only problem was the sennder bucherd the h/d caddy removing the origanal h/drive,managed to bend it back into useable shape
not a bad buy at £130 all in (apart from h/drive i fitted) has 1.5 gig mem fitted, but really want to get 2 gig or as near too.

has anybody on here installed windows8 on a cf29? if so any problems,did it work? would be inntrested to hear from anybody who has done so
