    ok i orderd a new power adapter off ebay and the one i got is 16v 4amp instead of 16v 5a that the original was is this ok or will it cause issues???

    I'm using an IBM 16v 4.5A and it doesn't even get warm.....
    FRU P/N 93P5017 It's smaller than the original

    And a OEM adapter for a CF-18 is only 2.5 amp and as we have hashed over so many times before, amps can't hurt your machine, incorrect voltage most definitely can!
