    Hi guys,
This is my first post after lurking for a while, so please be kind.

I bought 3 cf-18 mk2 off ebay. I've gotten them loaded with xp tablet sp2 and all of the drivers. All are working well except for a couple of bugs. I hope you guys can provide some input. :)

I've had the intermittent jumping mouse issue. Disabling the GPS seems to work. But one of my reasons for buying these is to use them as a GPS in my truck. Has anyone found a permanent solution for this issue or will I have to use an external GPS receiver?

On two of the units, the Window Tablet Input Panel will not open. I looked up services.msc and the TIP service is absent, so I'm pretty sure that the component did not load properly. I attempted a repair install and completed Windows Update but no luck. Is there a way to download or load the TIP manually, or will I need to do a fresh install?

Thanks Blair, I read those already. I guess I was reading it as a conflict between the touchpad and the GPS. After reading it again, it appears that Windows is reading the GPS as a serial mouse, therefore, two conflicting mice, correct?

Is that the same registry patch as the one on Panasonic's site? The GPS is in the BIOS and the registry patch is installed.

If you have the panasonic reqistry patch installed and still have issues
If you can somehow get into the device manager and "disable" micosoft serial ballpoint mouse
It's easy with an external gps as you can temp unplug the gps to gain acsess to your regular trackpad to do this after the gps is detected

There are manual registry fixes for this as well , a google search will find those

Since loading the drivers, only one has had an issue. I'll have to double check if the registry patch was applied properly.
