Hi! you haven't mention which part of the screen did you cleaned it up. It must be between the screen bezel and the ts glass. Also would you mind to post your model no. pls. so that we know what option do you have. Maybe you have an OEM gps that why your mouse acted like that.

I believe I saw in another thread that you can troubleshoot for this by unplugging the touchpad and trying the touchscreen again. I'm not sure if you can do the same thing by disabling the touchpad in Device Manager - I believe both Touchscreen and Touchpad use 1 integrated driver. Of course, you'll want to verify you have the correct driver set first, etc...

If its not on the screen. As Doobi and mnem...said its your touchpad. But before you dismantle the touchpad try cleaning it first specially those edges and beneath also if you have a worn or cracking surface. It is one of the cause.

Check your touchscreen connector and if that doesn't work... Uninstall and reinstall your driver... I had an issue with this too.

Oh... And you may want to try cleaning around the inside edge of the touchpad too. The thing is that dirt gets stuck between the frame and the touchpad... Then when you touch the screen it fights the touchpad for control... The screen usually wins... As long as you are touching it... Then snaps back when you stop touching the screen.
