Are you getting the model number off the bottom or from the BIOS?

    gplumb,
Sounds like the Australian ones, their number is not on the configurator either, but they have the # 22 instead of # 08. Your machine is probably a special order machine.

Most North American model numbers work , but a European model will not show up correctly
I have a cf-18 mk-2 that has a wwan option specific to Canada that will not show correctly
I think is has to do with the complexity of adding the extra info necessary, especially the different wwan options, as each country has different systems it seems

    Hi all!
I'm new to the forum and about to buy a CF18 from ebay.

I asked the seller the model number and he gave me this one: CF-18FDH25VE
Does anybody knows what 25 is for?
I'm a little in doubt because he says it is a wifi and BT enabled model where you can write with stylus and finger, but from the number it seems not!
    This is the auction

    Thank you in advance!

The picture in the auction shows a touchscreen model , but some sellers don't even post the real pictures of what they have for sale so I might be wrong
As I posted before the EU toughbooks are very hard to figure out

Thank you for the reply Alex.
The model number, second letter D, says digitizer, but the seller says touchscreen!
Should I trust the numbers or the seller? These ebay auctions drive me mad! ;)

Trust the letter on the bottom. Don't trust the seller unless he is KNOWN for posting pictures of each and every laptop they sell. Most are too lazy to do it and with the glut of CF-18s on the market... Most don't do that.

    You have a digitizer....
