I'm looking at a used cf-18 (cf-18nhhzdbm) for a good price (under 150). It's currently loaded with Ubuntu. Owner does not have discs. How easy will it be to load windows xp, Word, etc.? I've got two 29s, so the 18 is new to me. Thanks for your help.

I have had every Mk of the CF-18's. Hardware wise they are going to be very close in performance of the CF-29's. There CPU speed maxed out on the mk4 and 5 at 1.2 Ghz. Go to the stickies and look at the cf-18 thread for lots of info on them.

If you have the disks for your 29's you may be able to load the hard drive in the 29 and then transfer it the 18 depending on what version 18/29 it is.
