I have a cf-19 mk7 whose top cover got bashed in and cracked the lcd display. I replaced the lcd and it works. Digitizer also works. What doesn't work is 1) ambient light sensor, 2) brightness control(F1, F2) pretends it is working but the are only two light levels, dim and very bright. A service manual would be valuable if I could find one. Advice as to what to what might be the cause would be appreciated.

I would check the cables for any breaks.
