Well I finally have a 27 with internal WiFi, I kinda cheated a little. I got a netgear USB WiFi stick and removed the cover, desoldered the USB plug and then I removed the antenna connection from that little board that goes to the back for the vehical port replicator. Then, if you look on the netgear board there is an area that has a place to solder on the connector, then I soldered 4 wires to the spot where the USB plug was. I had removed the Sierra wireless unit from the board and in the area where the old wirelss card went I JB welded the netgear card in the middle of the board, rerouted the antenna wire to the side were the video ribbon cable comes out, to gain extra length, trimmed the plastic cover were the mic and video goes to the board and routed the antenna cable to the netgear card, then routed the 4 wire cable (old USB cable) along side the PCMCIA ports. I had purchased a USB 2.0 PCMCIA Shorty card that allowed me to close door, took card apart, desoldered USB conn. soldered a mini 4 pin female plug in it's place and then soldered it's male couterpart to the 4 wires routed from USB card. Plugged it in,closed the door, fired it up and it worked, now I am going to test it's range. Any suggestions for improvements would be appreciated
