cf-28 emmissive keyboard and circuit board?

Hello gentlemen,

This is my first post although I have been reading and rereading all of your posts on this awesome laptop. I just received mine yesterday from a very honest seller on eBay. I can't wait to start the modification process on it. I purchased the internal wifi card and antenna for it, but have a whole list of things left to get for it. I have a few questions though. 1. Where do I get the waterproof rp-sma jacks from ? 2. Where can I get the 24" pigtails ? 3. Most important is does anyone have an emmissive keyboard with the appropriate circuit board/wiring that they are willing to part with for a fee ? I just missed the whole deal on eBay the other day and it went for 50 bucks but I didn't get home from work in time in order to be there for the end of auction. I would like to say first off that you guys are pretty darn inginuitive. You all have come up with some very interesting ideas and theories that I am looking forward to contributing to. I would like to offer my help if I am able to anyone that needs it. I have a background in electronics and electrical engineering. I also happen to be a computer junkie who has been building my own computers for the last 7 years. I am not a know it all but am willing to help if I can. Thanks for your time guys and I hope to be an active part of this group for a long time to come.

Np.. Toughbook is kinda the authority on the keyboards I think..lol... I'm sure he'll chime in here soon...

 

Gravitar has some keyboards I think. Where do you want to mount your antenna? Netgate has the 24" leads but they aren't bulkhead type mounts... which is what you need. With regular bulkhead mounts... You can waterproof the connection by using small "O" rings. You might also want to put a drop of red locktite on the nut when you finish so it doesn't twist when you screw on the antenna.

 

Toughbook... did you dig up those pics of your antenna install by chance?
Also.. I finished my mod of my 27 mount.. I replaced the lock..and It will now lock a 28 in place.. I took one of the ears I chopped off.. and trimmed it down..and welded in on the front..and it now engages the lock slot.

 

I'll have to dig them up and upload them to the server... I'll shoot for tomorrow.... Er... Later today.
