    hello from italy.

i look for internal wireless card for my cf-28 chipset atheros...AR5006XS chipset 5414 001 bud

I read on the forums that it has to have 100 mvs and thickness that can be installed under caddy hd... the I have free slot.. are there a lot of models but not all they say dimensions.. you have model with correct number to look for on ebay??
I think that the problem is the thickness I have lifted hd and they are few mms.. ??? the thickness of the cards is of 3,3 ..or 4,4 mm...
    regards frank

Run the antenna to the left or right side of the machine - the side pieces are plastic and allow a good signal (second floor access point and using the 28 on the first floor). I can drive down the interstate and recognize signals from the houses along the road, in a pickup, just using the internal antenna. Not sure of the signal strength with the Atheros card, but picking up the signals from at least 300 ft away.

Most everything is in or linked to from the CF-28 FAQ thread.

I only have one internal antenna attached to main - it is a small copper foil square type.

The combo card - an 3COM one - would go in the first or leftmost slot since the network connector cable is too short to reach to the other one.
Check the for sale listing - someone has some for sale.

The modem cable is long enough as it goes to the second slot, you just fold it back on itself. The length of the NIC cable is the limiting factor.

NIC is the LAN card (ethernet).

Did you ever figure out your problem yesterday with the PCMCIA slot?
