The connector is known as MP205.

to be honest.... it's a pita. I would order a $10 replacement brick with the right tip, and save the busted one for "some day"....IMHO

then agian, for $2 you can get the plug off fleabay and some heat shrink tubing, you can fix it....

I fabricated the power leads to my Lind/dock. All of it's available from radio crack for a few dollars, except the MP205 connector. I think I ordered my from digikey with a bunch of other crap for other projects.

Be careful; the connector in that auction is NOT the same as the ones for the ToughBook. The ones for the ToughBook have 2 conductors at the connector; the one in the auction has 3, but only two of them are terminated with pins that extend past the molded plastic. It may or may not work depending on whether those pins connect to the correct conductors.

These 3 conductor connectors have an outer sleeve, then an insulator sleeve, then an inner sleeve, then a center pin. The CF-28 uses the outer sleeve (-) and the center pin (+); many others use the outer sleeve (-), inner sleeve (+) and center pin (OEM-BRAND CHARGER DETECT)

Also, I believe that the outer diameter of this connector (judging by the similar connector in my universal kit) is slightly larger than Panasonic's end due to having the 3rd conductor; using it may cause damage to the contacts inside the power jack on the ToughBook by over-compressing them.

    A word of caution,

    mnem
