You either did not install the hard drive correctly. (Aligned the top to the wrong pins) or you have a bad hard drive or you have a bad caddy.... My bet is the first one... But if you have a blank hard drive... You will have this message... So you will need to boot to CD and install the OS...

What it might have done was address the hard drive, saw nothing there and then with the next order of boot-up

    Yeah -

Your machine is not seeing any type of drive (floppy, USB, CDROM or HDD) that it can boot from, so it's trying to initiate a network boot.

If you can see the HDD in BIOS, then you need to install an OS on the drive. If you can't see it in BIOS, then you need to figure out what's wrong with your hardware.

the error message is not one to worry about, the machine is trying to pxe boot, and without a pxe server you will allways get that warning...

on the other hand, your machine isnt booting! as suggested, check that the hard drive is showing inn the bios, and check that it i still listed in the boot priorities list. ive not changed the drive, but not all pata cables are keyed, so make sure the hdd is plugged in the right way up! :)
