I just purchase a cf-29 mk2 and cannot get the usb 2 to work. I have reintsalled the chipset driver twice and still no go. It make my port a usb 1 and its soooo slow. Please help if you have any ideas. Its Windows 7 that I just installed.

Are you talking about the internal usb ports ?
They are all usb 1, only the external ports are usb 2

No I'm talking about the port on the side. Every time I plug something in it tells me this device could work faster and shows me an available usb 2 port which supposedly I'm not plugged into?? How can I get this to show up as usb 2?

u should install the intel inf update utility. And have a look on to the hidden devices, which u only can see, if u set the environmentvariable devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices to 1

Never had xp on this laptop, went straight to 7 as soon as I bought it. At work we have mk2's with xp though and the usb 2 seems to work fine on them. Any ideas??

I seriously think it is a win7 issue on the Mk2
If you have another hard disk laying around try too loud XP on it and see if the problem is still there.

Any help with what I'm doing wrong. I've reinstalled the drivers twice. I checked today and usb chipset is listed as the same as the working mk2 at work. Any ideas or links to a different driver I can install.
