I was in bestbuy and saw this micro usb bt. I bought it for another laptop but I thought I should just see if it fits with the door closed. It fits fine in the rear usb port with the door closed. works fine for at least 15 feet. It is kensington marked. I installed their software and it made my cpu go to 100% usage. I uninstalled ait and just let windows discover it and it worked fine. Another alternative that keeps the doors closed.

How much was it?

It was $40 but when I showed it to a friend he said he saw those in the most recent cyberguys catalog for around $25.
I have psmcia billinton on order as well incase I need some more distance. Im no computer expert so double check this but I think another advantage to the pcmcia version is that is is class1 so it will work further and it can be turned off not just disabled and this may have some power saving advantage or not. I'm not sure. I never use my rear usb for anything so I will use this there for a while. I like the idea of having 2 types anyway. -
Very cool...thanks. On another note, what cf-29 do you have? I have a mk1 and the usb is on the right side. The location I see on yours is where I have a mouse port. Do you have two usb?

I have a cf-29n mark 5 it has a usb on the back and one on the side. I thought they all had one on the back. I would not try putting this in the side. It fits and the cover closes but you will need tools to get it back out
-
Ya the Mk1 only has one on the side. Im in the market for a newer 29 but im waiting for a good deal on one with 512mb ram on mobo...Im seeing alot that only have 256. Im just going to go with the billionton pcmcia bt card.
