    Hi everone,

I have a cf-29 that I just bought becouse of reading all your great post about it. Bought as is got it home and will not power up. Pluged in a/c adaptor and the batt. light comes on. When I press the power button the light goes off. Checked the memory holder and there is none there to see if it had come loose. Pulled the batt. out and the light goes off push the power button and still will not come on. Can anyone help me please the computer looks brand new. The model number is cf-29htm50bm. Also have checked the output of the a/c supply and it is right on the money. Thanks in advance

Try holding the on button in the on position for a second longer. Mine will not turn on unless I hold the on button for a bit. A quick slide and release movement will not turn mine on.

try disconnecting both the ac adapter and the battery, hitting the switch a few times, then plugging the ac back in

Tried both did not help. thank you though. If I can't get this working who should I send it to? Surely it has to be something simple.

Try removing the optical drive, HDD and any installed RAM or PCMCIA cards. Any one of these can crash the system bus, causing these symptoms.

figured it out someone has had it apart and the screw dirrectly under the power button. Loosened it up a little and now lets the power switch go further and power on. Thanks everyone for your help.
