It should show up in your Bios (press F2 when booting). Or download one of the free tools like Winfast Navigator or Visual GPS and look for the GPS output. It's usually on com port 3.

Hello, i want to install an aftermarket gps in my cf29, all right here, but i already have a WWAN modem, with edge capability and don't want to remove it, no problem i can find some place to house it, but the problem is where i can find an unused serial port in this achine ? ? ? PS is a mk3.

And for answering at your question, well, close the lid, the gps should have a well visible square bump out on the screen up-left corner.

Not on the CF-29 unless you got one of tufftechs aftermarket units. It is under the palm rest on the left side.

As far as internal mods I am not sure where WWAN plugs into the board, but here are some shots of when I put aftermarket GPS into my CF-29.
