The option to remove your password is in the bios settings
Look you will see it under one of the tabs
When I travel ,I enable it, at home I remove to speed booting -
When I travel ,I enable it, at home I remove to speed booting....
i like this...
ok i go in the bios and cancel password... gate and leave empty space? or flag option ?
is very easy. ok
when i travel i go in the bios and put password....
ok very simple. thanks. -
yeah when you change the password just leave it blank and press enter.
-
i am go in the bios..
makes me just change passw.....
will not let me go ..."DISABLE" ..
now is ebable and is not possible change .to disable
is possible only change password...
-
Leave the password blank (ie. put in no password and press return).
This is how you clear the password once you have logged in to the BIOS. -
in the boot....after panasonic logo i have now....
PASSWORD in page blue color......i put xx and go in xp windows...after i have new pass administrator.....(not like)
if i go in the bios security
i have passage .. actual password..i put xx rteturn
after.... new password.....i put .nathing return
after confirm new password ..i put nating (but.. message not password insert..) i put return

Make sure you set both the supervisor and "standard" user passwords to blank.

INFORMATION ...ACCES LEVEL ... USER but not possible go to this location..
if i put nothing in the change password.. i look this message
user password cannot be deleted in user mode ......ok

what is user mode?
thanks -
User mode is when you are able to look at the BIOS without the rights to change any settings.
If you want to be able to change the passwords/other settings, you need to know the supervisor password. -
not possible also user passwords to blank....
I surrender ... I keep my password!
thanks to alls!!

Try removing the Hard drive and hard drive caddy.
Test if it will boot from the CD//DVD drive.
Do you need to enter a password to get into the BIOS?
Try resetting the BIOS to defaults.
Disable all BIOS passwords. -
no password for enter in the bios.. F2 TASTE and go to bios but small possibility change options because is alls grey matt, not possible change alls..
wher 'is option RESETTING BIOS TO DEFAULTS ? i not see this in my bios sorry
i have only une passw in the bios , is my passw. in the boot after PANASONIC LOGO for charge xp, but is only une and is not possible disable this , is only possible change this....alls possibility in the security bios page ..is similar boot change page..is alls matt grey not possible go to it...and confirm this ....:-( :-( -
in BIOS press f9 then f10 to save. That should reset to defaults.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
That password at boot sounds like a user password.
That may be why you can not change the boot order.
You must have supervisor access to change the boot order.
The reference manual will tell you how to disable that user and supervisor password.

Here is the link for the English version Reference manual. They do not have the Italian version listed.
http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/dow.../30mk3-rm-PCE0284AA_7-nonlogo-M-p20090615.pdf -
very thanks my problem is only because i not have in my bios supervisor possibility.. -
I still think supervisor is disabled somehow in your BIOS.
It should be able to be changed. It is not a custom BIOS.
I do not use BIOS passwords. The BIOS passwords cause problems. -
this will take a little time to straighten out ... differences of english and italian .
do you know a person that speaks english and can translate for you ? ... it helps if they know computers .
there are fine differences that do not translate by machine .
@ shawn ...
when i cloned my '30 and '31 , i used one of those usb to sata devices .
this might be an easy way around the problem .
i agree though , the bios is not locked ... from what i see . -
Larry
BIOS is not "locked" in the normal sense that we usually see.
It is locked into USER mode and it needs to be in SUPERVISOR mode in order to change the boot settings.
Look at the bottom of the main BIOS page in his photo. It says USER. Mine all say SUPERVISOR.
There are 2 levels of BIOS access. USER and SUPERVISOR. I don't have a 30 to experiment with the Security settings
I am sure this can be done on the Security page. I am just not sure what all needs changed. I think there are 2 or 3 settings that all need to be changed.
User mode is when you are able to look at the BIOS without the rights to change any settings.
If you want to be able to change the passwords/other settings, you need to know the supervisor password.Last edited: Dec 17, 2016 -

Here is your original thread on this very same subject.
Maybe our Moderator Blair will reopen that thread and combine the info from the last few posts into it.

Installing a new BIOS will NOT solve your problem.
You need to know the SUPERVISOR password. Without knowing it, you can not remove it.Last edited: Dec 18, 2016 -

Put old hard drive back in CF 30.
Can you boot from CD with old hard drive?
Post photos of BIOS Main page and BIOS Boot options page with old hard drive installed.
If you enable the USER password to get into BIOS. Press f2 to show a box on the screen. You enter the SUPERVISOR password into that same box. Then the SUPERVISOR options are shown in the BIOS. -
alls my bios photo in this theatre is with old disk ( and boot is impossible from cd rom)
with F2 i entry in the bios with no password and SUPERVISOR IS NOT PRESENT IN THE FIRST PAGE ONLY USER and in security not present Supervisor also.. SUPEVISOR NOT EXISTING in bios pages . i remember this...................yesterday i have did bakup in my external usb disk with simanteck ghost program of my old xp disk . alls ok....after i have changed old 5400 disk with SSD in my cf-30... and i put cdrom for lreload bakup in the ssd new internal cf-30 disk , but cd rom not charge and i see boot cd rom in the bios not possible change.. BUT avant this operation .. cd rom from bios boot is ok....is possible demage is because bios have rileved new SSD disk and block bios ? now i have password on boot and never user password see my photo security.-... but wher'is supervisor ?? -
the problem is....whait i not have this in the first manual photo in my bios security page but only second photo ? thanks alls friend for patience... i not like have supervisor password . like only put my ssd in my toughbook
i see is present also in the manual security hd lock..... ????Attached Files:

As I said before,
Flashing BIOS will not solve your problem.
Flashing BIOS will NOT remove any password.
Your CF30 does have a SUPERVISOR password. Without removing that password you will NEVER be able to change the boot options.
There is nothing "wrong" with your current BIOS. It is doing what it is supposed to do.
I will explain again how to enable the location where you can type in the SUPERVISOR password.
You must ENABLE "type password to get into BIOS" This is where you enter your current USER password after you hit f2 key. The SUPERVISOR password is typed into the same box that appears after you hit the f2 key. When you enter the SUPERVISOR password instead of the USER password in that box, the SUPERVISOR options WILL show on the BIOS security page.
Without knowing that SUPERVISOR password, you will NEVER get those security page options to show up. It will require a motherboard replacement. -
@ shawn ...
ok , the two level access is pretty common .
i agree ... it looks like he is locked out by the *user* mode being set .
he does need the *supervisor* mode (aka : god account) ...
i could experiment with my '30 if/when i have time (busy as 4377 at work) .
i have never set the passwords on the bios .
you don't suppose it is something simple like "1234toughbook" (for example) .
how it got set is a puzzle ... maybe a glitch or a keystroke or two that slipped by unnoticed ? -
today i have reset CMOS but supervisor is not present in security page bios..
is not possible set alls pages of bios...not undestand....i entry in the bios no password...press F2 and go in the bios but is not possible alls setting..and not possible boot for cd-rom for installing SSD STA DISK SANDISK :-(Attached Files:

ok now undestand....i not have supervisor password i not have put this i not have logo of supervisor in my security.. stop. avant change disk ssd boot from cd-rom is ok alls setting is ok ..alls in the bios...i have changed disk ... REMOVE 5400 AFTER GOST BACKUP AND PUT SSD....in this moment have the problem....ok thnaks alls for patience..i not change disk i not install w7 ...:-( i go with XP forever :-( very very thanks for patience friends ? best from Italy i love USA...STOP
-
One last thought.
Changing the hard drive to a SSD did not cause any password or SUPERVISOR problem.
This problem started in 2011 when you first posted about it. -
yes ok now my cf-30 see ssd disk new in the bios ...but is not possible upgrade from xp to W7 in this disk because i not have supervisor password..not possible also restore XP BACK UP now in usb external disk, for have xp in the ssd fast disk , for the same problem...i not have supervisor password and i not have also supervisor passwor logo in the bios supervisor passwors is in the matherboard . STOP best reg to alls ..i am not happy but this problem is real very big problem.. :-( :-( -
from another thread. WMI BIOS TOOL can be found on the Panasonic downloads site.
-
ok very thanks .....
today with CLONE Disk i have cloned my 5400 xp in my SSD disk with Dell pc and now in my cf-30mk3 have SSD DISK..for install w7 not possible for supervisor problem...but i am happy with xp ssd now. thanks alls thanks Shawn and merry christmas from Italy for alls USA people...
