Have you tried running a cleaner after uninstall? Some of the nividia driver are picky and don't want to act right after several installs and uninstalls. It works better to run a registery cleaner after it is taken off.

Road Ham..r, Did the wireless dis/enable ant. switch utility installed? There are two switch utility on the system. The wireless switch utility that control the wi-fi, bt and wwan and the one mentioned. Both of them must be installed properly.

yes that one is installed i was turning it off and on and it flashed one time but the tower light will not stay on.
why the hell did i ever turn it off -
OK this is what i have done to no effect. i have latest bios for win xp pro. i have uninstalled all drivers software and wireless switch utility. i have removed the ribbon cable for the hole wwan from the MB. rebooted 2X bios show it is not there reinstalled wireless switch utility. reboot.
reinstalled drivers. reboot. shutdown power down. reinstalled ribbon cable. power on bios showing wwan on boot in to wind xp pro. but yet now wwan light on front. turn wwan off and back on i hear win xp ding ding the one that you get when a device failed to connect. any help to get past this i have run out of ideas. -
I have been searching the threads and this one is close to what I am having problems with. I have a CF-30 FASRXAM (I believe is = mk3) Win 7. I got a GOBI 2000 (Qualcom) card and installed it and it is not showing up in the system no new device message. I do not see a bios update from Panasonic for this model. I downloaded the CSA and it does not see the device. I am still trouble shooting and search the forum but any advice from would be great!

I was reading through gobi information, and found this article from Panasonic for CF-19 & CF-30's: Panasonic Mobile Computer Wireless Carrier Software
If it was me having problems, I would read these directions all the way through and make sure everything is kosher with your system. It might be something as simple as uninstalling your software and then reinstalling it from the Panasonic site. -
Not having any luck with my gobi 200 card either. I have an account with verizon and would be find if I could just get a card that would do 3G or 4G on verizon.

I just followed the Panasonic Carrier Selection Application referenced above on my CF-19 MK3, and installed the executable program to the hard disk drive. Then I ran the carrier selection application from the run/start menu and chose my carrier. I chose Verizon just to try this out, and it loaded the drivers needed for my GOBI device which originally had an error code under hardware labeled: "QualcommHS-USB driver" not found. The exclamation mark is vanished and the driver has been installed. It seems the CSA from Panasonic installed the driver for me. This might work for you too. Best regards, Cleve

Tried that it says no GOBI device detected and shuts down.

robert721, Hi! First I don't want to go back to my old post to review it again. Anyway, did you followed my instruction completely on this thread? I mean from dip switches setting to bios setting and then software installation. If I remember correctly, the dip switches setting from MK1 to MK3 are different but I am not sure with that coz my reference manual is on different machine. You can try trial and error on dip switching. It can do no harm to the unit but make sure to follow the drill. No battery installed and no Ac plug before doing that.

Well it is finally on and working, For some reason the wwan was off in the bios. I had it on at one point. The CSA does suck thanks for the info on the selected install. That was the key. All I have to do now is get it put on my plan.
I thought I had bought a 2000 card but according to the VZ manager it is 1000 card. Guess I will be shopping for a 2000 card now. Are these cards specific to a type PC? or will an unlocked HP card work in a Panasonic? -
I have not been able to get an unlocked HP Gobi card to work in a CF-30.
-
Well I would even go with a sierra wireless 3g card of I could find one.
-
i looking on flea bay and i found an oem gobi2000
now ran in to the normal crap i have found that. the bios V1.00L20 / EC V1.00L17 will not work on it. how ever i have found V10.1L20 / EC V1.10L11 will work. now that my card is showing in bios and the wwan light is on at the switch. and start CSA start for once now i have a new brick wall CSA installer showing fail to install internal error occurred code 0x8020
can i get some help on this new one oh and by the way my touch screen is now working now with the new bios will fix laterShawn likes this. -
Glad to hear you are on, up, and running Robert. I've found that even when using original restore disks on the CF-19 and CF-29's, that the radio and other things are "off" after the install. You must then go into Hardware and turn them "on". And glad to hear that once you went into the Bios and enabled WWAN you were once again ready to go. Thank you for staying with it and reporting back. Best regards, Cleve

After going to Verizon to activate the card, which was an ordeal. It had to be issued a dummy esn. the one on the card would not work in the system. So once the card was in the system, well now the card has gone away. not in the bios. ARRGGGG. very confused. Installed the software and drivers and still nothing.

For info (having accumulated a 'slack handful' of Gobi2000 (and 1000 / 3000) modules), only ones actually manufactured for Panasonic gear have the correct Device ID for the Panasonic CSA pack to install.
Specifically, the Chinese ones that say they work in Toughbooks are not recognised by the Panasonic software.
The only ones I have that work either came in Toughbooks or were bought in sealed Panasonic field upgrade kits - none of the many bought elsewhere have been recognised at all in any machine I've tried. -

Correction it is not up and running. the CF30 now says device is disabled. No WWAN showing up in my bios no. ARRRRGGGGG I was so close and no dead in the water again. The unit came from ebay but was a Panasonic part the dip switches were set up up down down which see to be correct.
-
Same as what I got from ebay! how did you get it to work? Mine was there and now it says device disabled. Mine shows to be a gobi 1000 device in the VZ manager.
-
the gobi card that came with it did not work right. so i gave my fujitsu sierra wireless gobi 2000 a try and installed there drivers. that is what i am runing now. you may want to give theirs a try look on flea bay for ( FUJITSU FPCMDN14AP )
this link is the drivers for that card and will work on the cf-30
Technical Support pages from Fujitsu
that is the same set up i have.
my dip switches are set to up down down up i think that is for cdma VZ
one note a bout that FUJITSU card i had a hard time activating it and had to work my way to the big tec guys.
to add my imei it the VZ system i cant stand att all thay know is what is on a pc screen i called vz and in one phone call lasting 20 min. i got more done than weeks of calling att all in all i now have 6 gobi 2000 cards laying around.
oh by the way uninstall your wireless switch utility and WWAN antenna switch utility it will make your wwan act nuts on and off leave them once your gobi is working and drviers installed then reinstall the WSU and WWAN A.S.U -
So this morning I was in the process of pulling the sled and reseting the dip switches again and when I put the unit back and went to the bios there it was, back like it was.before. So after booting up VZManager saw the unit and allowed me to activate on my account. This has been a hair pulling install. Verizon had to contact there support to set the unit up originally. It had to have a dummy serial number assigned.
Well anyway it is up and running now. -
Great to hear you were persistent and are now "up & running" and "good to go".
-
glad to hear it and glad you did not have as much trouble as i did.
now back to the m35a project i will mount my cf-30 in it one day. for playing world vietnam radio communications wile it is at a show useing an old radio speaker

Good day,
I have installed the Gobi2000 to the Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 but i am having a problem because the One Click Internet is not compatible with Windows 8 so the utility always showing radio off.
the minicard is properly installed and well configured in the device manager it also showing that the GPS is configured with Diagnostic 9001 in port 20 and NMEA 9001 in port 21,
when i start the "One Click Internet" and open the setting I can see that the Imei/imsi/firmaware version/hardware version/model........have been automatically configured ......I can also see my sim card number.
I did run the troubleshoot compatibility and nothing .....sometime try to powering on but at the end fail and after it the system automatically configured the dial up which is working but I don't like it ............
I would love to use One Click Internet if there is any way to update or make it compatible with windows 8 or some other utility similar the "One Click Internet"
please help. -

I have a Fujitsu Gobi2000 in my CF-19 mk4, and it works quite well, the Fujitsu drivers installed just fine.
But I am sick of the mobile provider's internet dialers - waste of computing resources, for little or no added features - that is, if they do work.
So, I just configured the connection using Windows 7's new dial-up connection.
I have little experinece in Win8 - don't know where they hid all the network options in that I-do-everything-for-you-my-way-or-the-highway' interface
cf-30 wwan gobi 2000
