    Looking for service manuals for
    Cf-y5 : specifically CF-Y5LWFZZBM
    Cf-w5: specifically CF-W5LZZBM

    however if i can't find those specific manuals, any cf-y5 and cf-w5 service manuals would be helpful.

    I'm actually trying to determine if there is a SATA connector on the CF-Y5 or CF-W5 motherboard. I know the laptops use an ich-7 chipset which has SATA support, I'm just wondering if there is a SATA connector which I could use to upgrade my disk, since PATA drives are slower, smaller, and less efficient. Did anybody take pictures of a disassembled CF-Y5 or W5 mainboard?

    The W5 has no SATA capablity, though with some manipulation it may be possible to put one of those ATA-SATA bridges and a SATA drive in the W5. I tried one & found it to work, though I did not take the time to really see if I could find a way to close up the HDD housing with the bridge in it.
