    has any one done a external antenna on a CF-18 were is the best place and what parts should i but. im so glad i found this site

    I'm not sure anyone has felt the need for an external antenna. But you're most likely to do a good job with a u.fl to SMA bulkhead connector. It's a tight fit in there so you'd have to cram it in. Also... Unless you upgrade to a wifi card that has 3 u.fl connections... You'd lose one side of the stock antenna. Not a good swap in my view.

    Looking to hookup a cantenna or similar?

    IM GONA GET RID OF THE 2100 THATS IN THere and get the engenius EMP-8602 Plus-S 600mw that Alex recomended and was hoping ot put a external antena maybe behind the gps block bu ti think that would cause some inerference, as soon i can sell some of my 18 parts or my other 18 or the 73 thats all parts im gona buy that and what ever else ill need for the project.

    No need to mount any other wi-fi antennas
    I have found the stock wi-fi antenna's that are built-in under the plastic side antenna covers on the lid are excelent

    ok well i retract my previous statment then, you guys are my guides through the precariousness of upgrading an 18 well are the bulk head antena conectors next to the port replacator a good thing to install i hav them laying around and was thinking about it
