Hi. I've installed ubuntu 8.04 on my 13" touchscreen 600MHz cf-28 (CF28M with added internal gps). It installs fine, but the touchscreen and full screen res aren't working properly. I've changed my xorg.conf a number of times to no avail. Does anyone have any advice? I can't see any links anywhere on the web to point out which packages may need uploading. The graphics card is a SM710 LynxEM. I think the res is 1024x768. Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Naturally, I will feed back my results. Ubuntu runs a truck load faster than XP on one of these laptops (faster than something 3x the CPU). I'm surprised there isn't a 'grid' of working xorg.confs for each toughbook (e.g. CF28MCFAZDM-B with link to a working configuration file). Any thoughts?
