I loaded Win. 7 on my cf29 htm50bm (a used sbc one) loaded drivers according to the thread, everything works great! but, the fn key(s) for the volume have no effect! they show up on the screen, and you can see the indicator moving up or down as the correct fn key is pressed, but no effect on the volume. The fn keys for battery life and brightness work just fine.
I used the fn key driver for a cf29 Mk. 5 as instructed.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks,
    DDaymen

    1) try to uninstall hotkey appendix application
    2) if it doesn't help - try to change audio driver

Same problem on the CF-51 MK3 W7 install. The volume indicator moves up and down but no go.

I had the same problem on a Toughbook (F8 though) - when the Panasonic audio driver for XP was installed into Win7 the Fn buttons didn't work to change the volume.

However, the Fn buttons for volume worked when the driver included with Win7 was used - try uninstalling the audio driver package from Panasonic and let Win7 install the hardware itself and see what happens.

Same with my CF-51, My problem was with the non-Panasonic drivers from the default install of Win7.
I went to the Panasonic website and found the driver list for the 51 and followed it. Also keep in mind that one driver you install from the device manager. Win7 works very well on the core duo 51's and yes, I did upgrade mine to a Core 2 duo. :)

I'll try to uninstall, and let Win. 7 install the audio driver, if trhat does not work I'll try the driver for a MkIII, I think that is what mine is (HTM50BM)
I'll post the results, will probably be a few days, got to work this weekend!
    Thanks,
