Hello all,
For the last month or so, my cf-30 mk iii, will on occasion (say once or twice a week) go dark for a moment, and then will come back on with a balloon message at the bottom of the screen telling me something like "video driver recovered." The message fades pretty quickly, and I can't find anything in my windows control panel that has recorded the problem--nothing in "action center" for example. Any ideas about what might be happening? Thanks for your help.

First thought...uninstall video driver and reinstall...
Second is bad ram -
I agree, reinstall the driver and if it keeps doing it pull a ram stick and let it run. Crashes, switch sticks. Let us know what happens.

Just forget about it. There is nothing wrong and it will repair itself

i agree , this could be a symptom of RAM going bad .
you can do the stick pull-n-swap , but , if you have known good compatible RAM , putting it in place of the suspect RAM is even better . -
Thanks guys. Will try drivers first, then if necessary RAM.
I'll let you know what happens. -
A brief update on the problem. Via Glary utilities pro (great program in my opinion), I found out that there was an update for my display adapter drivers, so I thought that might kill two birds with one stone: update drivers and correct problem. But the updated drivers screwed with my ability to adjust screen brightness with fn/f1&2. So, removed update, and used a driver backup that I'd done back in the fall. So far so good.

I am guessing that you used drivers downloaded direct from Intel..
If any problems persist, I suggest you uninstall those and install drivers from Panasonic. -
Thanks Shawn, will do.
cf30 mk3, screen goes black, then "video driver recovered" message
