    hey guys

so i am trying to boot ubuntu 12.04 from a thumbdrive and it tries to boot but it says could not find kernel image: /isolinux/isolinux.cfg

i have already tried changing the file name to syslinux from isolunux as well as changing the .cfg and .bin to sys from iso. i also tried to move those files up in the list but it would not let me do that for some reason.

    any ideas?

    thanks

Hi...I've always just gone to this site and downloaded a neat program named Unetbootin:
    UNetbootin - Homepage and Downloads

With this program, you can make a bootable thumb drive of an iso you've downloaded, and you can also load popular Linux Distros.
For a "minty" iso to download & try, this site is great:
    http://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=113

I always format my thumb drive first. Run the Unetbootin program, and choose the program you wish to make bootable on your thumb drive. The web site gives good directions on how to make it work. After making your thumb drive bootable, insert it into usb port & turn on your CF-30. Hit F2 during the Panasonic Splash and go into Bios, making sure the system recognizes your thumb drive, you'll want to move it to the top position in Boot Menu. Save with F10 and then system should boot off your usb drive. Best regards....Cleve
