    cmos battery location on cf-19?

    hey folks,my cf-19 mk2 will not keep the time correctly,i want to change the cmos or rtc battery but am a little confused.when i open the back you see a plug in coin type battery,i changed that and still it dosnt help.i was looking at a manual for the cf-19 and it apprears there is a rtc battery that may be a coin type as well on the opposite side of the mobo,does anyone know if it is a coin type that can be replaced or is it soldered to the mobo?thank you for any help you may offer.

    Your in the right direction. The c mos battery connector is located near the center of the mbo. beside the docking station connector. The c mos battery is rated 3vdc. have you ahnged that already and still no effect. Check the connector of the battery. It may have been damaged when pulling out the old one. There are supposed to be two pin on that.

    The other c mos battery connector that you are talking about prolly on the daughterboad with audio board. Those connector is for Gps c mos battery for back up on gps Ram.

    By any chance did you go into your clock settings and uncheck "synchronize with internet time server" (W7 pictured). If the cmos battery was going dead would you not get a warning saying so, any laptop I have had owned always gave me that warning. Since this is a CF-19 which is really not that old I can't see that the battery is dead.
