Can someone give me a pinout for the usb port on connector cn49?
I have figured this so far
pins2,22,39...ground
pin 29 .........usb+
pin 30..........usb-
va5.............pins 34/35
USBPW1....Is this the switched 5v power? (vc5)
I am looking for the vc5 pins. (This is switched off with the laptop.) Also the ground pin. I found the ground pins. sleep is a good thing. It was discussed in a old thread, but the pinout wasn't given.

That's the schematic I am working with. I can't find the vc5 that was referenced in the earlier post.

From the earlier post I thought vc5 was available on cn49. Are you saying connect pins 3-4-7-9-10-12 to the PS/2 mouse plug pin4 via 4.7KW resistors?
I found the vc5 on the ps/2 port. Fused at 1a. That may work. Not sure how much amperage I need though. At least the ps/2 port is large enough that even I can solder on it.
I still am hoping that I can connect it all to cn49 via a breakout board. -
NO NO NO this is a partial quote from another publication. I read it that pin 4 connects to VC5 somewhere.
It makes sense since (I like that sense since) PS/2 mouse is on a serial port and I surmise controlled by a controller actuated by hardware/software thus off until turned on.Which is what you need. Capisce?
Now you probably know why I am the last person to ask.
I was merely stating that in a CF-29 Service manual the quoted portion was the only place that VC5 appeared. Possibly it may be found on a schematic of the wiring which I can't find right now.
But as you say, trace 4 back to the board and there you may find it.
And the best of the best to you.
You have PM.
