    Rob,

by just reading this forum....I've gotten an invaluable education about the toughbook series

have a new one coming in...and because a few of you guys explained the differences and similarities along makes...I'm gonna be able to remove 512mb ram from the old one and insert it into the new one which only has onboard 256

essentially I have a set of replacement pieces for the new one...

    thanks to all of you

    BUT

the thread was genuinely about comparing laptops to athletes..

I had a t41 that was nicknamed tim duncan because it was just so dependable..no flash...just steady and ready....

I nicknamed my first car, Harry Carson... for the same reason
