    wich models of mk5 came with a built in mike and can i tell without disasembly is there a driver i need? if not ill put one in but whould just like to know.

    They all have the connection and hole for a mic, but I have never seen one the originally had a mic. A mic from a cf28 will fit right in from what I have read.

    yes to the 28 mic fitting.
    for about $5 you can make the lead and add one yourself. there are a few threads here about diy. very good.

    Yeh, I fabbed one myself from left over parts. After I had it almost installed, I realized that I had no need for a mic in my CF29. Its in one of my shoe boxes of parts now. Getting the right size connector is the hard part.
