    enginues emp-8602 plus s not working

    ok i just got my card in the mail and its not working i inserted it went to turn onthe compuiter and nothing happened so i tred agin and it worked but the card isnt showing up in the hard ware section is there a special intall process or is my card dead :( some one help please

    That's the Engenius card I sent you, right?

    Try removing it, boot up normally then shut down and re-install it. Be sure you disconnect power and remove battery when changing any hardware.

    If it still doesn't work, just send it back and I'll get you a brand new one. (I tested that one before I sent it out, but sometimes things happen ... :eek: )

    I will not show up in the bios ,but you should see new networking device in the device manager, and you will need to install the driver to get it running

    I wonder if it was not seated correct, I have seen booting issues with ram not booting if its not positioned right, the same go's for add-on cards
    You will have to go back into the cf-18 and remove and reinsert the card, be sure it fits properly with no restrictions on laying flat (I have seen bumpers under that are too thick) and it needs to be all the way in

    What Operating System?

    I installed one the other day and was surprised that the drivers were now native to Win 7!

    well no luck i tryed it in a few different laptops and no deal so i spoke to spring field and he is going to send me another one thanks guys
