    i have a cf-19chb06be

i have installed windows 7 (following the guide) along with a 500GB HDD and some extra ram.

all running great. i dont use the GPS or sim card. i fairly sure it has built in GPS although i havent ever tried to see if it works? i know it has the sim card as it used to use it for mobile data.

the only problem ive got is that i cannot calibrate the screen. when i try i get an error at the end but now i cant even find the .exe to try again. think i had calwin before. i messed around alot trying to get the correct misc driver. at the minute the right hand side of the screen is almost accurate enough but as you go left the cursor gets further and further away from where you touch. same for the top and going down.

i read somewhere to disable the GPS as it takes that as an input for the mouse. i couldnt find it in the bios though.

if anyone knows what i need to sort it out i would very much appreciate it but if not, is there anyway i can disable the touch screen?

Unfortunately you have a model which does not appear in the configurator as it is not a North American model. If you do have a GPS you should have a 1" x 1" square plastic bumpout on the right side of the computer towards the rear corner if the CF-19 GPS is similar to the CF-18. Typically, model numbers with numbers in them are reserved for special configurations ordered by large corporations or government agencies.

Steven, I had lots of problems with installing W7 and calibration on my CF-18, you might like to read about these. They are at the end of the post on installing W7 on a CF-18 Mk1. There mighte be something there of help.

Try installing the WACOM program and then un-installing it as it may force windows to update the drivers correctly.

Sorry I just realised you have touchscreen not digitizer!

    4-wire, 5-wire, 7-wire screen?

which one do i have? i assume i count the wires between the display and computer. but do i count the indiviual wires or do i also count whatever is in the sleeve as well?

this is for that native driver by the way.

Martin4x4, are you saying i dont need to worry about the WACOM thing as i dont have a digitizer?

I have wondered that myself. If you dig around on that site further, you will discover that some are USB, some are serial and some are PS2. I know the CF29 is PS2. Interesting is that Fujitsu lists version 1.xxx as the newest for the PS2 version, but Panasonic's version is 2.0xxx. I am trying to find one that has better Touchpad/mouse response.

The Windows 7 install guide for the CF-18 mk1 is written for the digitizer model. While I don't have any touchscreen versions, I did note while writing up that guide that Panasonic does have a Windows 7 driver for the touchscreen for the CF-19K/L.

I'm not familiar with what you may have already attempted, but if you haven't already, I would suggest trying this driver.

i have tried those drivers but i tried again anyway.

the error im getting at the end of the setup if 'installation isn't complete' which isnt very helpful. then if i try the uninstall .exe i get the error unable to locate INF file bla bla bla fidmous.del which to me looks like it hasnt been installed properly which it wont let me do??

in device manager the drivers say they are up to date when i force it to search in the folder with the suggested drivers.

Not sure about the WACOM suggestion as i dont really know what im looking for.

The fujistu driver looks practically the same as the panasonic one apart from the install .exe is a different name and the panasonic one says its also for vista.

    do i dont know.......
