I have a garmin 15 inside my cf 28 . It works with my oziexplorer software and maps but I would like to get it to work with city navigator australia and garmin'n route for voice navigation .The garmin 15 does not have an electronic ID to which garmin can unlock The software is unlocked .

Does anyone have any idea if there is a bit of software or some process that will enable the above activation

    In anticipation ! :)

Most of the problems with GPS and software is getting the two to talk the same language. You need to find out what settings [start with com port frist] your GPS is using. Match those settings with the other software that you wont to use.It can take several minutes to get a fix on statallites. For more details look here.

You have the best situation. Garmin software generally only works with Garmin GPS.

Other software that i use, (CAPN, DeLorme, Maptech) work fine with Garmin GPS if the parameters are matched.
