    hi everyone,

    anybody out there know if I can install a GOBI WWAN module and use it overseas in Europe? which carriers are supported?

    Can I just purchase a used GOBI modem and install and run?

    also how do I tell whether I have bluetooth installed?

    Remove the strip above the keyboard and see if there is a short green pcb antenna there.

    Read this thread. I posted pictures. In the 2nd of the first 2 low res pictures you can see the green reflection of the antenna. Also in the other fotos, you can see the flat panel under the keyboard. The non bluetooth have grooves in them.

    Easy way to do it is getting a usb WWAN stick and get a pre pay data card for Europe.
    Cheapest is Vodafone Ireland (2.99 Euro/day of use in EU)

    Thanks for the replies, my TB has WWAN antenna on the cover, so I am assuming this means I already have a either a regular WWAN modem or a GOBI modem.
    How do Ifind out which one I have and which carrier it supports?

    First: CF-29 Toughbooks do not have Gobi™.
    Second: post your system's full Model Number; such as: CF-29xxxxxxx.
