I'll follow up later in the week after i get it loaded up and ready to go.

i got it on ebay and i finally got it in today. first impressions are:
    1) extremly small
    2) keyboard is so small that it isn't practical to type up a long paper. (maybe 60% sized keyboard)
    3) screen is like the cf-27 screen (and is very small)
    4) xp pro has network drivers built in (im doing a PXE boot (f12) to load XP from my RIS server)
    5) all port covers on the one that i got are intact and working fine.
    6) one PCMCIA port (covered)
*i cannot seem to locate where the memory and the hard drive is at, but i only looked at it for about 4 minutes (just to start my PXE install and leave work lol)

Thats all folks, ill give you all pictures later and follow up on monday

The harddrive is inside even the memory you have to unsrew 10 of them at the buttom and carefully lift up the buttom cover. The good thing on this notebook is its potability. For 700mhz there are three expansion slot on the mbo. for gps, serial, wi-fi, gprs/gsm, rim and much more.

If you need servise manual just pm me.

I want to get a couple of those too. I know my tiny little wife with her tiny little fingers would love it. Her friend came over this past weekend and picked up my Sony Vaio (VGN-T350P) by the screen and cracked it! She apologized and offered to pay for it but I can't find a screen for it! I've seen prices for them ($500) but nobody has them in stock. Anyone have any ideas about that? (I'll post in the Sony forum.)

Anyway... My wife is used to having a small little laptop to surf while she is hanging out... I figured a CF34 would be perfect for her. Plus it is something else for me to learn about and mod! I think it would be the perfect platform for Linux.

JB... What speed do you have and what are you running on it?
