    You obviously tried rebooting right? Also I'm assuming that you are talking about a CF-29?

    I had this problem all the time with the CF-29 and it was always fixed by simply rebooting or re-seating whatever you have in the multimedia bay...

    A lot of problems are cured by application of the "Three-Fingered Salute". :rolleyes:

    I don't think the MP Slot is supposed to be hot swappable is it? I always turn off the system before I change MP drives. I'm afraid it will blow up or something. ^^;

    Better safe than sorry.

    You can hot swap but they suggest that you use the little green arrow in the system tray... THAT would be for the CD/DVD drive though... You can just pull the media bay battery out any time you want.

    A reboot will clear this up....

    one thing i experienced the same way but different reason.

    my main battery light was flashing when I insert battery.

    after all, i found that it was the reason of bent pin connector (the last pin connector on the left of the connector pin line).

    i had to remove all and open the laptop, take it back to its original place, and put a little hard glue there. now it is ok.

    now the exp is: inserting the battery with smooth way and never been in rush.
