I bought a cf-19 mk6. I had a cf-19 mk2 running windows 7. I downloaded all the drivers from the panasonic website for the cf-19m6 windows 7 32bit and saved them in the hd while still in the mk2, then swapped the caddy/hard drive into the mk6, ran the .exe file to install the new drivers.
I now get the following error when trying to use the touchscreen calibration utililty- this application program is not fully supported under the current type of pc.
I tried downloading just the individual touchscreen driver panasonic had for this cf-19m6 win7 32bit and ran that .exe, but still get the same error msg.
Windows is running fine, touch screen works but is not close to calibrated.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Help file for driver bundle
    ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/computer/software/bundlehelp102_software.pdf

When you ran the bundle, did you right click the exe and click run as admin as stated in the instructions?

    A couple of things.

Definitely do a power pull reset. Definitely set bios to defaults. Boot with F10 (save).

[Menu] then type calibrate....when screen appears, click the reset box.

We are trying to clear artifacts from the registry and mobo.

    Full model #?

I may have a question for you re: USB3. I'll wait until yours is sorted. My CF-193H101FW has an issue or two.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

You may not be saving time trying to force win 7 to adapt to the hardware and driver changes between the two mk versions. The mk6 if it came with a factory HDD should have a recovery partition available in the BIOS. That can be used to change from 32 bit to 64 bit OS versions of win 7 and it will load the drivers. The big issue is all the other software and user configuration will need to be installed from scratch. That partition is what I used when I received my default 32 bit version setup and wanted to use the 64 bit. The only drivers that I needed to update where for the WIFI and WWAN devices.

I have swapped hard drives jumping 2 mks. Going from Core duo to i5.
    It is tricky to do.
While installed in the first machine, I download the bundle pack for the new machine.
Then I install the new bundle pack(right click-Run as admin)
Then I go to Device manager and carefully uninstall all of the drivers for the old machine.
    Examples--Chipset-touchpad-touchscreen-BT-Power management-ETC..
Then I shut the machine off and transfer the hard drive to the new machine.
Windows found the drivers for the new machine and updated fairly smoothly.
It will need to have the serial // COA number changed to match the new machine. Then it will need to be re activated. Control panel >> System>>bottom of page.

I did it like this because I wanted to see if I could and I have a custom GPS software setup. It is a PITA to reinstall it. I DID make an Acronis backup of the drive first. In case things went TU..

I do not recommend this way. A clean install is the proper solution.

I have no real experience or knowledge of Toughbooks, I just watched a Youtube video once.

A slightly old thread but this might help someone.
I had the same thing on a MK5 ie Panasonic calibration utility did not work same error msg as OP, but looking in the cf 19 manual it tells you to do it through control panel which did work. ie
A Click (Start) - [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] - [Tablet PC Setting].
    B Click [Calibrate...].
C Using the stylus, touch each of the “+” target marks one by one.
Probably windows loaded its own drivers first which work through control panel etc.
You could probably disable those drivers in device manager then reinstall the panasonic drivers.

I have a simple check when I remember it...............

    Windows 7 and Linux.

When the cursor goes up and left but stays on the screen it is a out of range error.
For Windows click the reset box to delete touch numbers in the registry [SAVE], reboot--- start over.
For Linux delete the contents of 99.calibration.conf, [SAVE] reboot--- start over.

When the cursor goes down and right and disappears it is a bad touch screen.

I didn't see this on youtube.
