The power supply was repaired and it should still be working but, not getting a charge icon on the cf-29. Checked the power outlet at wall it is working. Wiggled the power supply cord connector at the hole where the male connect resides did not get a charge icon on task manager tray.

So, what does it take to replace the male connector that I suspected, is soldered to the motherboard of a cf-29?

Did you test the plug from the adapter with a voltmeter? I recently tossed an OEM Panasonic AC adapter for doing the same thing and I managed to find out that the wires near the right-angle plug would cause intermittent DC output when it was wiggled around.

The motherboard needs to be completely removed.
    The port costs about $2.00.
I have done many of them. It isn't terribly difficult, but it is time consuming. It is soldered directly to the motherboard.

My guess you need to try another power adapter first.
