    Hi,

I have a Panasonic notebook (Y7) but I was hoping you guys could help me out. I would like to use an external monitor in portrait mode (1200 by 1600) with my notebook. It has the Intel GMA-3100 graphics controller and I'm using Vista business. I can get the landscape mode to work perfectly fine (1600 by 1200) but I can't rotate the image to portrait mode. Under the display settings I can only adjust: Color Quality, Screen Resolution, Refresh Rate, and Aspect Ratio.

Is anyone using an external monitor in portrait mode with the GMA-3100? How do you rotate the image between landscape and portrait?

I don't think that many Intel chips support rotating the screen image. Best bet is to Google "Rotate display GMA3100" or something along those lines. There may be a utility out there, or an updated driver for that purpose, but I would tend to doubt it, especially considering that you are using Vista. With that being Microsoft's latest I would have to imagine that if the technology was there they would have thrown it in there.
Good Luck with that one Momo2.
