we all know these toughbooks are almost indestructible but cant help but wonder how tough is the glass that projects its lcd's
mc c2 seems like has a thicker glass than an average laptop

They are the most fragile part of any Toughbook! They can NOT take a blow! Not even a small blow! DO NOT TRY IT!

I have a CF-28 that has a bullseye in the lower left hand corner. It was a used one I got. It was hit, hard on the lid and that was the result. What's funny is the spiderweb goes all the way though the screen and has black around the crack but you can still see everything on the screen. It doesn't go all the way out like I have seen some laptops before. I have seen a 19's screen dropped on a concrete screen while open and I had to replace the screen in it. It did the usual multicolor with white background like a lot of other pc's do when there screen is busted.
