    mic does not work in cf-29

    never have been able to make it work. where is the mic located on the cf-29?

    Second, cdrom player does not work..what would it cost to replace it?

    The CF-29 does not have a built-in mic. It has a place to mount one, and the mic built into CF-28 can be transplanted into a CF-29.

    CDROM is kinda pricey, around $40-50

    I wonder if your CD-ROM drive in the CD-ROM housing has been replaced and isn't set to master. If this is the case that's why it isn't working. Check the CF-29 Faq or see the CD-ROM Tutorial for more information. Good luck! :O

    If you're in the US and can use a screwdriver, I can send you an OEM replacement CD drive unit for $8. You will need to disassemble the drive caddy and swap the CDROM inside it.
