anybody have any pictures of the process of replacing the mousepad on a CF-29?. is it just as simple a removing the bottom cover and some screws and that is it?

1. Remove palm rest using hot water and a wide blade putty knife.
2. Remove screws and pull the T shaped bezel. It's glued down.
3. If just the touchpad cover needs replacing see if you can find some gray x-ray film and cut a piece to fit. Stick (literally)it all back together.
4. If entire touchpad needs replacing you go inside and take a look.
I may have some pictures but they are trapped on a drive and I'm waiting on a part.
Short answer for now.

I just disassembled one today. Gork is correct. It will take time and patience. Everything is glued on. Do not force the touchpad or you will break things. You also need to remove the bottom cover to access the wiring.

hey thank you very much for the prompt replies, I fixed the mouse problem without even doing any major surgery, all I did was take the bottom cover off, disconnect the three ribbon cables and remove the (I am calling it a mousepad module) and put in one from a known good one and that was it. no need to practically destroy the palmrest or anything.
