Guy's I picked up 3 MP batteries, poped one in after figuring out to just pull the CD-ROM drive out ( no release as far as I could find). It charged up fine & gave me Alot of extra runtime (Love That). The problem is I poped the 2nd & 3rd in but they dont show up as being in the pocket. no MP light, & no 2nd battery installed on the battery icon. What did I miss?

Does the first one still work after trying the other two?

If so, you've narrowed the fault down to the other two batteries.

Some of these were made as a shell/adapter for a standard Panasonic battery; I dunno on the CF-30. If so, they may not be populated or may have an old junk battery in them.

Guys, what all do ya know about this?

    Hey…

Here is what a CF30 2nd battery looks like. Also shown is the part number to the battery with the sticker removed.

I don’t known what his issue could be.

@ mnementh, yes Sir - it did function after the other 2 were removed. Im not sure whats going on, maybe the other 2 are defective, but why would they not cause the MP light to come on or turn red. its above my paygrade thats for sure :) the other two did have something like black printer ink under them in a small spot but not really much & nothing looks damaged. @I58SR - thats them.

Sounds to me like either the battery packs inside are completely dead, or having a bad connection issue with the adapter shell.

If you have any warranty from your seller, I'd try and get an exchange or a partial refund. Otherwise, if bought el-cheapo or as-is, I'd take it apart & try to check the internal connections. Shop eBay for the CF-VZSU14C battery by itself; give you an idea of what the battery is worth and if it's worth further hassle.

1 out of 3... sounds like my kindof luck.

Not sure if it matters or not but was your 30 running when you pulled one out and put the other one in or did you shut it down then do it. Just a thought

    Batteries can be hot swapped.

Remove the main battery and try charging the MB battery only with the TB shutdown.
