    it was only like 30 degrees out but it gave me the flashing orange.

    took it about 30 minutes to warm up. what a baby.

    but at least i know what the flashing orange is and its all good

    WOW... in 30 degree weather (Fahrenheit) it will warm up for about 20 - 30 seconds... when it's about 0 degrees it takes about 2-3 minutes... What model? I'm using a CF-29 mk1 and a CF-30 mk1...

    it probably was below freezing and was sitting for a good 6 hours. could be the heater. I know I tried the sata mod and I know it was a messy job

    I have a 1.4 CF 29 I leave in my truck all the time and even when it is below zero outside, it loads and starts in seconds. Perhaps there is another issue at fault here.

    nope its teh heater. but it works if it warms up some so thats ok. next time I wont mod the hd carrier

    Well I stand corrected. My cf 29 was in my mail truck on the floor, temp around 10 f, started it up and I got the blinking battery light! HDD heater working...it took around 45 seconds and then it started right up.
