so i have a cf18 mk2.
i am looking at "restoring" it a bit, changing some broken covers, etc.
should i just max out my mk2? and buy the little parts that i need.
or is there advantage in the mk3/4?
should i buy a mk3/4 motherboard?
or should i buy a whole mk3/4, and use my mk2 as a parts laptop?

I guess that depends on how well it meets your needs. I have 2 CF-18 mark I's (TS & digitizer) & they work just fine for what I need them to do. I have upgraded the RAM & HDDs on them.

just feel like an upgrade.
or should i get a cf29? because i could use an internal dvd drive... -
It's almost like asking is you should get a car or a truck... It depends how you intend to use it. Personall I prefer the CF-29... More all in one for just about any purpose... Except flip-around tablet! How often do you use that function. Do you find it difficult to type on a 70% keyboard? Don't the arrow keys **** you off?
