For wwan you need few parts not just the sled or antena. You need metal rail, ribbon connector with stationary connector( sometime they called it docking connector for sled) and also a corner rubber bumper at the top of LCD.

I just quoted a overseas customer of mine ...well the antenna kit that is and he was looking at about $93.64 + $30.00 s/h = $123.64 (DL3MA1369FAA). I told him to sell his 30 and buy one that has it all installed...he was looking at about $700.00 + for OEM parts

You may try heartlandsi or request a quotation for the whole set. The installation is not hard. Just follow on the service manual. It is covered with detail.

I have the email address for Heartland customer service, this is not on there web site so if you want it PM me. If you request a quotation you will need all the part numbers , some come as a kit and some are all seperate and they are a lot of them

I have been looking at them too but they have been using the same picture for months now and it says
I know the one in the picture does not look good but what is the one you buy going to look like. I mean how hard is it to take a picture and post it ?
They have 42 of them for sale.

These look like they might be off lease from special application use and all scratch in the same place from repetitive use, some could be worse then others though. If I was to buy from this seller I would ask for actual pictures of the unit they will send you.

Did you find a picture of the WWAN corner? All I have right now is the piece that screws to the lid that the antenna slides through and the antenna. There must be a pcb with cable attached but I don't have that either.
Do you have a schematic (or a link to one?)Also link to parts list. Pictures are better. :)

Thanks Blair, I knew I saw it. Now for a close up. The antenna lead is no issue but what does it fasten to. What service manual did this come from?

The antenna is enclosed in a "clamshell" maybe E501 and the part to the right of k1005. So I have K1006 k1007 and e501. I can see where k1005 lives but so far haven't found it.
Still looking as I clean the bench. I think the hens were up here scratching around. lol,

The problem with these service manuals is you need about 10 of them to make 1 good one. It would be nice if they had one that would have all the part numbers in it . What a pain in the A$$.

    Why search?

Just put the one you bought on your "Toughbook Collection" shelf and put your "searching" and "modding" behind you.

That was my suggestion to ROADHAMMER; but he's determined to keep and spend all that money on his Mk1 Core Duo CF-30 rather than get the Mk2 Core 2 Duo unit I suggested; despite the fact that one has the WWAN and GPS he wants to spend all that money on.

Well; it is his money after all. ;)
